AMC Chair Helen Southgate offers an insight into the typical makeup of the Council in 2010.
One of the questions that has been raised about the Affiliate Marketing Council is around the representation of all areas of the industry.
The below chart shows the representation last year from the various stakeholders within the industry. 59% of attendees were networks / agencies, 20% affiliates, 19% clients and 2% technology.
This to me demonstrates a good range of attendees that cover all areas of the industry and it is important to remember that agencies and networks as well as representing themselves will be representing their merchants and affiliates.
For those merchants and affiliates that cannot attend the meetings I would ask them to ensure that their network / agency is communicating what is happening and highlight that they have a channel of communication through to the AMC via the agency / network.
